The thing that is magical and stressful about newborn photos is the fact that you are taking pictures in accordance to the baby. If they don't want pictures taken, they can't be bribed. If they are hungry, they aren't going to wait it out. If they don't like you, they don't follow society norms and mind any manners. 

It's stressful, but I love it. 

Being present and in the moment with these sweet little souls is what stretches my capability and creativity. I had the opportunity to photograph this little lady. She wasn't pleased with me so we switched from classic newborn shots to more of a lifestyle shoot. And I couldn't love them more. ❤ it's different from anything I've done or tried, but I'm so glad baby hall just wanted mommy. 

Julie, though I haven't known her long, is the type of human I feel at ease with. Her easy going personality is calming and frees the interaction from any awkwardness. Not only do I think Julie is top notch, but I respect her so much more seeing her as a mother. Motherhood is hard. It's a lot of work. It's a lot of tears and emotions you don't know what to do with, but this sweet mama astounded me. 

I am so grateful this session turned out the way it did. ❤ I couldn't love his mommy daughter interaction more. 

Grandma helped us hack some more typical shots. Who needs a newborn beanbag when you have grandma!? ❤

Sweet Julie was pregnant with twins and lost one earlier in pregnancy. I love the angel wings she has to capture both her physical and spiritual babies. 

All because two people fell in love. ❤
