I remember when I was younger my mom would tell me not to "burn the candle at both ends." For whatever teenage angsty reason, I always hated that expression. Now, as a semi less angsty ripe old 28 year old, I find myself tossing out all those expressions I once loathed for no good reason.
For example: I loved this session so much, I burned the candle at both ends to get it edited. hahaha
But really. Saltair is one of those places that is insanely underrated in my opinion. It's smelly and the actual building is run down. There are dead birds everywhere for who knows why and half the time its windy as all get out. The walk to the water feels like miles in the sand with a buttload of equipment and you can NOT get away without being coated in sand somewhere.
But why, despite all the cons, is it one place I tend to recommend excessively?
BECAUSE ITS ALSO SO DANG BEAUTIFUL!!!
Every single time I venture out to the run down shore I can't help but fall in love with it a little more. I've never had a session out there were I end up disappointed. I have never been underwhelmed by a sunset or cared about all the negative that could EASILY be focused on. It's one of my favorite locations for so many reasons.
now, I will stop talking and just prove it through pictures. That is usually the reason people are here anyway. ;)
